Piña Colada
What is perhaps the best drink for the summer time? An over
elaborate Pina Colada - yes, we agree! Translated, Pina Colada
literally means "strained pineapple" so you have a hint on the
main ingredient!
Here is the Velocity Bars recommended recipe to try at home
(lots of ingredients but it is worth it on a hot day):

Golden Rum |

Coconut Flavoured Rum |

Cream |

A few generous chunks of
Fresh Pineapple |

50ml |
Pineapple |
| |
Sugar Syrup to taste |

Pineapple chunk and leaves |

Maraschino Cherry |

a Cocktail Umbrella! |
For
the Pina Colada, you can either opt for a shaken or frozen
cocktail. For the frozen or blended version, add some of the ice
and the pineapple chunks to your blender and begin to blend. Add
the rest of the ice and pineapple as the existing ingredients
are crushed. Then add the rest of the ingredients and continue
to blend until you have a fine consistency. Serve into a hi-ball
or goblet and garnish with more pineapple, cherries and anything
else that you can find!!
For the stronger shaken version, muddle the pineapple first,
then add the rest of the ingredients and shake. Strain well to
remove the pineapple residue. Serve as above.
