Maple MacchiatoMaple Macchiato

This month's coveted Drink of the Month status is awarded to the Maple Macchiato, a Velocity Bars original for the bar that was run at the Enterprise Conference 2006. To find out more, please sign up to the newsletter for free by clicking here.

Velocity Bars' Recipe

  1/2 Teaspoon Gold Blend Coffee
  50ml Single Cream
  50ml Milk
  12.5ml Maple Syrup
  Dash Almond Extract
  To Garnish
  Chocolate Powder
  Shaved Almonds

Add the coffee and maple syrup to a shaker filled with ice. Then add the Cream, Milk, and Almond Extract. Shake vigorously to ensure all the ingredients are well mixed. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a very light sprinkle of chocolate powder and finish with some shaved almond pieces delicately placed on the surface of the drink.
