| Hailing
as one of Japans premium exports, Asahi is a tinted
pale yellow beer. With a distinguished fragrance
hinted with rice and grain Asahi provides a light,
malty and hoppy flavour with a short dry after
taste. Velocity Bars suggest trying this beer with
Asian foods or Sushi.
Did You Know? Asahi is the second largest
brewer in Japan (after Kirin), and upon the launch
of Asahi Super Dry, managed to triple its market
share within 7 years! |

Hoegaarden presents itself with a thick head
situated upon a vibrant light golden beer. With a
unique scent, hinted mainly with oranges and apples,
with additional herbs and spices. This Belgian Beer
is then finished off with a fruity sweet taste.
Weighing in with a 5% ABV, the oranges really give
it a perfect hint of bitterness that doesn't
overpower the other flavours in this beer that was
revived in the 1960’s.
Velocity Bars recommends garnishing with Lemon,
Lime or even an Orange slice to intrigue the
flavour.

This
cherry flavour beer has become very popular in
Belgian Cafés as of late, and is undoubtedly one of
the more distinctive beers on offer, wrapped in
light cherry-red paper. A deeply coloured beer, with
a frothy and tanned head, Kriekbier has a fantastic
fruity fragrance. This unique aroma precedes a
Brandy flavour and a satisfyingly dry finish.
Unpitted cherries are added to a general beer base.
Once the cherries have fermented, the almond
flavours of the stone slowly encapsulated into the
flavour of the beer.
We enjoyed trying it with light, summer food,
almost as a dry white wine, or even try it with
desserts!
